Waxing Services - Simply Blissed

Hair removal, sometimes called depilation or epilation, is the intentional removal of head hair or body hair. While the process has its roots in religious observance, many people now use the hair removal process for practical reasons: removing unsightly hair, preventing body odor, protecting a shaved pubic area from bacteria and other unwanted elements, and so on. While most people can perform hair removal at home with commercial kits (such as those sold by Philips Norelco and Revitol), more lasting results can be achieved with professional hair removal services. There are a few ways to remove hair without a salon visit, some more time-efficient than others, but all of them offer more control over the hair removed, a higher degree of pain reduction, and a higher degree of comfort. Here are four popular options:

Epilation electrolysis: This process consists of an electrical current that sends a pulse of negatively charged ions through the hair follicle. The ions do not go through the skin; rather, they go through the hair follicle, zapping it and stopping its growth. One advantage to this method is that it does not require any tools or dangerous chemicals. Another advantage is that the electrolysis only removes the uppermost hair; below the scalp, the hair grows back naturally. The disadvantage is that hair removal uses up to three treatments (three times, if you're using epilators) in order to permanently remove the hair.

Waxing: Similar to electrolysis, waxing requires a medical procedure. A strip of cloth is applied to the hairless area; a band is placed around the cloth to cause a slight tightening of the skin as it is pulled downward. Once it is released, the hair grows into the treated area and is removed. A good treatment plan allows the electrologist to target unwanted hair growth (such as nicks and cuts) to quickly and effectively eliminate the problem.

Epilation: This 永久脫毛 process does not leave any marks on the skin, and it is painless. A technician puts a mildew removing solution on the area before applying epilation cream, and then applies a cloth patch to the area. Some epilators (particularly the cold and hot varieties) leave a redness for a few days post-treatment, but this is only a temporary inconvenience. Most people report little discomfort following treatment.

Shaving: Some people are very sensitive to the effects of shaving. If you have sensitive skin, you may experience some redness, skin irritation, or an allergic reaction to the shaving cream used. If you do decide to use an electric shaver, make sure you apply enough cream to prevent burns and inflammation. Electric shavers cause the highest levels of discomfort because they do not cut through the hair. If your doctor wants you to shave, he/she will prescribe a medicated cream to reduce discomfort and help the removal process.

Laser Hair Removal: This method is usually considered the best results come with the most risks. The treatments are very expensive, and it can be painful to the individual receiving the treatment. It is also important to note that laser treatments typically last up to nine months, so you will need to plan ahead if you want to use these services. In some cases, individuals notice minimal to no discomfort after treatments; however, others report burning and discomfort throughout the entire process. Because of this, laser hair removal vary greatly depending on the provider, the individual, and the severity of the condition.

Eyebrow Removal: This procedure is great for both men and women who want to remove unwanted hair from their eyebrows. An esthetician will apply a special cream to the eyebrows,

and then use tweezer devices to tweeze each strand out. This procedure can take anywhere from one to three weeks to complete. Since this is done on an outpatient basis, you should not have to stay in the hospital or be treated for any infections.

This is by far the quickest and least painful procedure available to you. This can be done at home or at a salon, so finding a provider nearby shouldn't be a problem. You can schedule your appointment any time you like, and the entire process should take from one to three weeks. The hair that is removed will never grow back, so you will not have to worry about having unwanted hairs pop up again. This option for removal is great if you have small areas that you want to be free of hair forever. However, you should schedule a consultation with a doctor to make sure that this is a good solution for your situation.
